Behavior Policy

We work with a 3-step protocol that includes working with the climber to better understand why we are asking them to follow certain procedures and how it is for their benefit and the benefit of the group. Our next step is to provide a safe space for them to be able to take a moment of reprieve and then chat with one of our instructors or program leaders until they are ready to rejoin the group. We hope that this will be enough for any climber. In the unlikely event that this isn’t enough for them, we will ask parents to come and pick-up the climber and we can try again the next day. If this happens on another day, we will follow the same process, as it is hopefully familiar to the climber. If the climber goes home again on this second occasion, we will likely ask the climber to not return to programming and booking fees will be forfeited.

Inclement Weather Policy

All Salt Pump Youth Programming cancellations will be made at the discretion of Salt Pump Climbing. We will take into account many factors, including weather forecasts, and local conditions. We will send out a day-of email if the programming schedule is to be altered or cancelled. No refunds or make-up days will be offered.
